With over 2,500 members representing a broad range of communications disciplines, NYWICI’s mission is to empower women in the communications field at every career stage to reach their full potential and navigate the ever-changing landscape of communications. Donna-Jean Plante, CAE, will serve as Executive Director and provide strategic and operational oversight for NYWICI’s programs and services.

Donna-Jean Plante, CAE, previously served as the Executive Director of the Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY) – the largest regional trade association in the promotional products industry. Her emphasis on educational programming, trade shows, and networking events increased engagement and participation throughout the association as well as providing increased value and retention to membership. Prior to SAAGNY, she served as the Manager of Events and Continuing Legal Education Programs, for the Federal Bar Council.
New York Women in Communications (NYWICI) is the premier organization for female communications professionals. The 90-year-old not-for-profit association has more than 2,500 members — from senior executives to students and entrepreneurs to young professionals — in a variety of communications disciplines, including journalism, broadcasting, corporate communications, digital, publishing, advertising, integrated marketing, photography, public relations, graphic design and more.
