CORONAVIRUS CASE STUDIES: Giving Members a Break
MCI USA is highlighting how we’re partnering with our clients to respond to COVID-19, from messaging and advocacy to webinars and other content. These are our Coronavirus Case Studies.
The International LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA) is the world's leading network of LGBTQ+-welcoming tourism businesses. As travel and tourism professionals, IGLTA members have been hit hard by the coronavirus crisis, and it’s unclear if or when their industry will fully recover.
Knowing that in this climate members would need IGLTA’s resources and community more than ever, MCI USA — which provides membership services for the organization — recommended offering them a break. Now, members who come up for renewal automatically have their membership extended for 60 days — for free. It’s a small but potent way for IGLTA to acknowledge what members are experiencing and help them through it.
“This is when your members need you the most,” said MCI USA talent Emma Adelman, who serves as IGLTA’s membership concierge. “Travel will come back, and when it does, IGLTA will have made its community that much stronger and demonstrated the true value of membership.”
