At the heart of this success was the crucial involvement of MCI’s various teams. MCI Switzerland (Core PCO) coordinated the overall organisation, ensuring seamless overall management. MCI UK (Association Management) oversaw the society’s strategic management and support, while MCI The Netherlands supported MCI Switzerland in several areas of the congress management. MCI US (Journal Management) managed the society’s scientific journal, and Ovation Denmark (Local Support) provided local expertise to ensure an experience perfectly tailored to the Danish context. This international collaboration demonstrates the strength of MCI’s network and its ability to transform ambitions into tangible, memorable experiences.
The 2025 edition stood out for its innovative and engaging formats. iNovation® Day dedicated an entire day to cutting-edge technologies in anterior segment care, bringing together startups and industry leaders. The ESCRS Arena, reimagined with a Nordic “Valhalla” theme, featured lively debates, small-group discussions in a World Café format, and even the convivial ESONT Visionary Pub Quiz. Meanwhile, the Simulation Training Labs gave surgeons the opportunity to refine their techniques on next-generation simulators, bridging theory and practice.
