The challenge

Growing audience, sponsors and revenue

CRC São Paulo aimed to expand the convention’s reach and financial sustainability while preserving its technical relevance. The challenge was to grow registrations and sponsorship revenue, adapt to evolving audience expectations and ensure operational efficiency in a larger, more complex setting.

The solution

Leveraging expertise for strategic event growth

MCI has partnered with CRC São Paulo since 2017, supporting five editions of the CONVECON and building a deep understanding of the accounting sector and its evolving dynamics. Our expertise and long-term collaboration allowed us to anticipate market shifts and design strategies that go beyond logistics.

For the 29th edition, we applied this insight to restructure sponsorship models, introduce activation formats aligned with audience expectations, and plan the move to a larger venue, ensuring operational efficiency and engagement. The enhanced sales strategy also drove an impressive 30% growth in sponsorship and exhibition sales, reinforcing the event’s financial sustainability.

In addition, we worked with CRC to implement a more strategic communication plan, leveraging social media and related industry events to boost visibility and drive registrations. These actions resulted in a 20% increase in registrations compared to 2023.

The results

Record participation, sponsors and revenue

The 29th Convention brought together 2,970 participants and 41 sponsors at Expo Center Norte. Over three days, the programme combined technical panels, networking and market insights, positioning the event as a key platform for professional development and industry engagement. Registrations grew by 20% compared to 2023, supported by a targeted communication strategy, while sponsorship and exhibition sales increased by 30% thanks to innovative sponsorship packages and the diversify of industry sectors. Combined with intelligent supplier negotiations and operational efficiencies, these strategies generated a profitability for the client more than three times higher than the previous edition, reinforcing the event’s financial sustainability and strategic value.

Testimonial

“We have worked with MCI for many years now, and what stands out most is how deeply they have come to understand our community and the spirit of this convention. Each edition feels stronger and more refined. For 2025, their support in sponsorship development, technology integration, and supplier negotiations made a visible difference. Participants were engaged, sponsors were enthusiastic, and the event reached its highest numbers yet. It was one of our most successful editions, both in scale and financial return.”
