The combined team of over 20 people ensured a seamless experience for attendees, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors. Months of preparation went into curating high-impact sessions, securing top-tier speakers and organising pitch competitions, while the logistics team managed venue arrangements, exhibitor coordination, sponsor fulfilment and investor matchmaking, ensuring startups had the best opportunities to connect with industry leaders.
Onsite, DiscoveryX 2025 featured 22 expert panels on AI, quantum computing, clean energy and advanced manufacturing, alongside an Explore Next Zone exhibition with interactive demonstrations of the latest in robotics, modular design and sustainable technology.
Pitch competitions provided a platform for Ontario’s most promising startups to present their groundbreaking ideas to investors, industry leaders and innovation experts and winners each received a CA$10,000 (US$7,332.09) prize. Over 500 investor meetings and dedicated networking lounges gave startups a further chance to pitch directly to venture capitalists, angel investors and corporate funders, gaining valuable insights, mentorship and potential funding.
Innovative and recyclable event badges integrated with the event app and enabled personalisation, session check-ins, content downloads and contact-information exchange, while encouraging participation through interactive challenges.
