Inauguration of the New 'Ligne des Plages - TPG

A Major Milestone for Public Transport in Geneva

Last Month marked a major milestone for the Geneva Public Transport (TPG) with the inauguration of the new summer “Ligne des Plages” — an iconic route that will serve 26 stops along the lakeside, from Collonge-Bellerive to Genthod. Operating every weekend from Friday evening to Sunday evening throughout the summer, this line offers a practical and enjoyable alternative to connect the region’s beaches and lakeside communities.

This large-scale public event, which brought together over 1,000 attendees, was organized in just one month. We handled the entire coordination process — from concept to execution — in close collaboration with the city authorities and TPG. The privatization of spaces along the lakeshore provided a festive and welcoming setting, perfectly aligned with the ambitions of the project.

The day was filled with a wide range of activities for both children and adults, designed and managed by our team. A generous lakeside meal was offered to the people of Geneva, reinforcing the inclusive and community-driven spirit of the event. A TPG bus was showcased on site, offering the public a tangible preview of the new service and sparking great interest. We also installed custom photo booths and welcomed professional photographers to capture every memorable moment of this unique celebration.

The event was graced by the presence of elected officials from the six municipalities the new line will serve, as well as local radio station One FM, which helped amplify the event’s media reach. Speeches by Pierre Maudet and Lionel Brasier highlighted the significance of this initiative for enhancing summer mobility and boosting the appeal of the lakeside region.
